We begin every commercial construction project with pre-project analytics to identify problem areas and recommend solutions well before construction begins. Then with a smart plan in place, we work collaboratively with owners, managers, architects, and our construction partners to move efficiently through all project phases.

About EVOLV

Founder and CEO Matthew J. Moore launched the company in 2004 with decades of experience in construction, project management, and a commitment to superior craftsmanship. Matthew was inspired to create a company culture focused on smart planning, worksite efficiency, and quality results.

In 2019 the original company, MJ Moore Design & Construction, was renamed EVOLV Commercial Construction Inc. to reflect the company’s growth and his clients’ desires for custom environments in step with today’s market.

Matthew is a long-time Bay Area resident. In addition to his work in the construction industry, he contributes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Recent Projects

110 Sutter St., Union Square
San Francisco CA

Demo and rebuild of tenant space to include new ADA compliant restrooms, new large conference room, 2 small meeting/phone rooms, new kitchen, new power distribution, new life safety system, new LED lighting with Title 24 controls, new hardwood flooring, restoration of original marble mosaic flooring, restoration of original brick façade. During construction, we accommodated new tenant Bug Snag with new network cabling, electrical for system furniture, installation of mounts and TVs.

The original French Bank of San Francisco

Full lobby renovation including: new walk off mat, new LED lighting, marble floor restoration, carpet, paint, electronic display board, value engineered, reconstructed guard desk. Original 1907 marble flooring discovered during demolition was restored, cleaned and polished.

St. George Spirits
Monarch Dr., Alameda CA

2150 sq. ft. tasting room and bottle sales counter, 12 week schedule. Demo of plaster walls, framing, electrical, plumbing, millwork, concrete counter tops, specialty metal work, stainless steel counter tops, new steel handrails to match original, and new ADA restrooms. We expanded the existing rooms of artesian distillers St. George Spirits at the Alameda Naval Air Station. Old buildings like this one at Hanger 21 present many obstacles, but we met the challenges and delivered a successful project.

800 sq. ft. breakroom, 6 week schedule. Demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, new lighting, paint, millwork, quartz counter tops, tile backsplash, and appliances. EVOLV was commissioned to design build the project based on the owners vision of a clean, modern and welcoming space to relax and enjoy a meal or just grab an espresso!
